Full Branding Project
Problem Statement
Ever have a great idea, but no clue where to start? This project was a little like that, with the only parameters being to encompass the love in the baking and the history of the area. This was a passion project coming to life, which meant that passion needed to shine through each part of the brand.
01 Gameplan
We started by working directly with our client to get a feel for their overall aesthetic and goals for what this brand would convey. This involved research on the area and target audience, as well as outlining some initial concepts for review.
02 Refined Style
Once we talked through the initial concepts and determined what the client was gravitating towards, we moved on to finalizing one design style. An illustrator was brought in on the project and briefed on what was needed and what style we were looking for. Once some basic elements were created, I contacted another illustrator in my network to build simple and repeatable patterns that I could use as a design element. Other pieces began to come together as shown in the below Pitch deck to build a truly cohesive brand.
03 Final Result
The final brand package included a simple Brand Guidelines deck, shown below. This was shared with the client’s web designer who would be building their site. The website, gettysburgcookieco.com, was created entirely by another designer and demonstrated these new brand guidelines and elements in action. We also created business cards, menus, letterhead, packaging and social media templates to finalize this package.
